Opportunities to serve within the church

There are many areas to serve within the church and we are always in need of volunteers. Please scroll through the list below to view these opportunities. If you would like to volunteer, or would like more information, please contact the church office.

  • Children's Ministry

Our Children’s Ministry would not be possible without volunteers!  A teaching degree is not necessary to serve in our children’s ministry. All you need is a passion for serving Christ’s children. We have opportunities to serve  as teachers, classroom assistants, nursery workers, and on our planning team.

Because we care about the safety of our children and our volunteers, all potential volunteers are required to complete Safe Sanctuary training and undergo a background check.

  • Multimedia team

Volunteers needed for photography, graphics, and audio board. No experience necessary, training will be provided.

  • Youth Ministry

There are opportunities to serve as Sunday School teachers, small group leaders, chaperones for outings and mission trips. To serve in this ministry, you must complete Safe Sanctuary training and undergo a background check. For more information, please contact Pastor Joshua Bailey-Green

  • Care And Repair Team

Join a dedicated team that keeps the church properties in tip-top shape. No special skills or experience necessary.  Team meets on Monday mornings.

  • Kitchen Angels

Our church kitchen is used a lot in the course of a week or month. The Kitchen Angels meet at 9am once a month to keep the kitchen clean. Please consider joining this group -more hands make the workload lighter. Please contact Gail Hinterlong

  • Offering Counters

We are looking for several volunteers to be part of this team. Being a counter involves an hour of your time counting the offering. We are in need of a counter on the fourth Sunday every month. Contact the church office for more information.

  • Worship Life

There are a number of opportunities to serve on Sunday mornings. These include ushers, greeters, acolytes, lectors, and hospitality. Contact the church office for more information.

  • Sunday Pancake Breakfast

Volunteers are needed to help cook and serve pancakes on Sunday mornings between services. The pancake breakfast is served September through April. You would be working once every three months. Please sign up at the kitchen or on the clipboard.

  • Funeral Luncheon Committee

The funeral luncheon committee is always looking for more dessert and salad preparers for funeral lunches. It involves making 2-3 dozen bars or cookies or a salad that will serve 12, and deliver your food to the church. It is such a blessing to those who are grieving to have a nice luncheon after the funeral.  Gail Hinterlong at (630) 406-1636 or ghinterlong@comcast.net.
