Planning for the Summer 2013 Youth Mission trip begins Sunday, October 28, 2012.

The meeting will be 6:30-8:00 in the Youth room (third floor) at the Batavia campus. Please join us if you have any interested in joining the trip as a youth or adult chaperone.

Youth and Adult (ages 16 and up) Mission Trip to Brazil

July 13-22, 2013

Join youth and young adults from the Midwest on an adventure to Brazil.
Participants will engage in mission alongside Brazilian youth and young adults as we help build the church with our hands in construction and our hearts in relationship. This trip is being organized through the United Methodist Volunteers in Mission – Mission Discovery Team of the North Central Jurisdiction. Pastor David and Christy will be assisting Pastors Cara and Matt Weiler (Western Michigan Conference) as leaders as we travel to Nova Almeida in Espirito Santo Brazil. This is a Shade and Fresh Water Project which uplifts impoverished urban children by providing them with a caring community, food, and education in a safer environment in Shade and Fresh Water Centers run by local churches.
Applications are now being accepted. You must be 16 years or older to participate. This is a great opportunity for post-high school participants, who experienced the life-changing experience of mission through the BUMC youth mission trips and would like to continue to expand on that experience of service, as well as for young adults who are interested in getting involved in mission work for the very first time.
