Bryan House, Home for Refugees in Aurora
We are beginning a new mission with Rick and Denise Guzman of Bryan House. This is a 5-unit apartment building where refugees families can be reunited and live together, rent free, for one year. The apartments need lots of care and repair to make them ready for the refugee families. There are jobs for all skill levels; from 'carpenter' to 'fix stuff around the house' to 'which one is the screwdriver?' All are welcome! WOMEN'S RETREAT
Rest, Renew, Refresh in God’s Presence & Word Beginning Friday, October 3rd, 6:30 p.m. through Saturday, October 4th, 4:30 p.m. Riverwoods Christian Center in St. Charles
Come away and refresh yourself personally and spiritually. Marie Vernon will lead us in yoga to refresh ourselves personally; and we’ll have time to worship, learn and pray together, to refresh ourselves spiritually.
Cost will be $80.00, and will cover food, lodging, and activities.
